Space… it is always an issue when you are dealing with older houses. They just weren’t typically that big. This house is no different with a small bathroom that has the typical sub 50sf floor plan with a built in vanity, toilet and neo angle corner shower with barely enough room to turn around in it. The entire bathroom was very dated with tile everywhere in a weird color, ugly cabinets and sink, and an old style toilet.
We worked with the client to come up with a suitable design that maximized the space. The result is a very open looking bathroom despite a lack of space. We built a large custom shower with Daltile Subway tiles, installed a new privacy window, installed carrara marble flooring and a new sink from Restoration Hardware. We also built custom shelves over the toilet and stained them to match the sink. The glass door with the sliding rollers was ordered online.
